salt spray test chamber is a multi-functional environmental testing equipment independently developed for metal corrosion resistance verification. Adopting mature atomization and constant temperature control technology, this equipment supports three mainstream salt spray test modes: NSS, AASS and CASS. It covers basic to high-strength accelerated corrosion tests, widely applicable to EV parts, automotive accessories, hardware coatings, aluminum anodized parts, and electronic component quality inspection.
The series includes five capacity models from 108L to 1200L, matching test demands of small precision parts and large industrial workpieces. With integrated box structure and water-electricity separation design, the equipment features stable operation, strong corrosion resistance and long service life, meeting the long-term testing needs of laboratories and manufacturing enterprises.
Standard compliance is the core premise of valid salt spray test data. The SN8810 series chamber passes multiple global authoritative industry standards, ensuring test results are internationally recognized and applicable for product certification and export inspection:
All test indicators, including temperature control accuracy, spray volume and solution pH value, strictly follow standard specifications, realizing standardized and repeatable corrosion test verification.
Different from ordinary single-function salt spray boxes, the SN8810 series relies on multiple optimized core technologies to adapt to three-level corrosion tests, solving common problems such as uneven atomization, temperature drift and nozzle blockage in traditional equipment.
Can one equipment meet different corrosion test requirements? The SN8810 series realizes three-level progressive corrosion tests, covering all conventional and high-standard anti-corrosion verification scenarios.
Adopting 5% NaCl neutral solution with pH 6.5~7.2 and test temperature of 35±2 ℃, it is used for basic anti-corrosion screening of ordinary steel, galvanized parts, paint coatings, aluminum alloy and general hardware products, suitable for daily quality inspection of conventional parts.
Based on neutral salt solution, glacial acetic acid is added to adjust pH to 3.1~3.3. The corrosion speed is 2-3 times that of NSS test, simulating industrial atmosphere and acid rain corrosion environment. It is mainly used for corrosion detection of decorative chromium plating layers and aluminum anodic oxide films.
Adding copper chloride catalyst on the basis of AASS solution, with the test temperature increased to 50 ℃, the corrosion rate reaches 8 times that of NSS test. It is applicable to high-standard accelerated corrosion verification of automotive exterior chrome parts, wheel hubs, high-end bathroom hardware and high-grade anodized aluminum parts, meeting automobile and outdoor high weather resistance test standards.
Most ordinary salt spray boxes on the market can only complete single NSS test, and cannot adapt to high-temperature and acidic CASS working conditions due to material and power limitations. The Sinuo Salt Spray Test Chamber is designed based on the most stringent CASS test standards, with full acid-resistant and high-temperature resistant configurations.
Five volume models meet diversified test size demands, and multiple safety protection functions including over-temperature, water shortage, leakage and overload protection ensure long-term stable operation. It is an all-in-one professional solution for enterprise and laboratory salt spray corrosion testing.
Can NSS, AASS and CASS test hours be converted mutually?
A: No conversion standard is available. The three tests adopt different solution formulas, pH values and temperatures. Test data cannot be converted arbitrarily, and official reports must specify the exact test method.
Can ordinary NSS cabinets run CASS tests?
A: No. CASS requires 50 ℃ high temperature, 63 ℃ saturated barrel temperature and thickened acid-resistant cabinet materials. Ordinary NSS equipment cannot resist high temperature and acidic copper salt corrosion, causing deformation and inaccurate data.
What products require CASS testing?
A: CASS is for high-grade decorative and outdoor corrosion-resistant parts, including automotive chrome parts, wheel hubs, EV metal accessories and premium aluminum anodized components.
How to keep test solution pH stable?
A: Dissolved carbon dioxide causes pH fluctuation. Prepare solution with boiled water or preheat solution above 35 ℃. Calibrate pH strictly before AASS and CASS testing.
What sizes are available?
A: The series includes 108L, 270L, 600L, 960L and 1200L models, covering small precision parts to large industrial workpieces.
Salt spray test is more than simple salt water spraying. Different grades of tests feature fully distinct corrosion mechanisms and standard requirements. Before drafting test plans and purchasing salt spray chambers, clarify product service environment and client standards, and match suitable NSS/AASS/CASS test grades. Selecting proper test method and supporting equipment helps obtain stable and client-recognized test data, and avoids extra costs caused by test failure and sample retesting due to wrong equipment selection.
